While addressing the media on Wednesday, The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Secretary General Akelo Misori that the Union is set to seek legal actions against the two ministries.
- This arose after another confirmed death of a teacher in the same institution.
- The first case of the illness was confirmed on 1st of March 2023 but the school failed to take proper safety measures which ked to the outbreak of the disease that went on affecting hundreds of students. The Western Regional Director Of Education Ministry Jared Obiero ordered the closure of the school.
- To curb the issue, the government transferred the Principal of the school Miss Fridah and dismantled the board of management of the school as well.
- The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers has recently shot its eye to education and Health Ministries over the school’s diarrhoea outbreak.
