On April 25, The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Sercive announced the a grade to an entry to the University. Candidates who managed to score a C plus and above will have a direct entry into the universities.
Speaking in a press conference with the Mps, the KUCCPS CEO Miss Agnes Wahome said that there is enough space in the universities to accommodate all the candidates who scored C plus and above.
“All students who score above C Plus will get admission to the university since we have enough capacity,” she said.
She however told the Mps that public universities have a capacity of 194,000 space for the candidates.
The 2022 KCSE candidates sat for their exams in December same year and there results were out as it was scheduled by the Ministry of Education.
In addition, Alice Wahome said that the application and revision of courses respective to be done by the candidates is yet to be open, and that once opened the candidates will be able to revise the courses they applied for. Wahome also asked the government to implement and protect posting of students in private universities.
“We commit that if you give directive we will implement but we ask for protection from Parliament,” Wahome said.
173,000 students scored grade c plus and above in the 2022 KCSE exams, therefore they are eligible for benefiting from the government source of sponsorship.
