With over 3.5Million candidates set to seat for their exams this year, the 2023 KCPE Candidates set the highest record of 1.4 Million candidates who will have their KCPE Examinations. The 2023 KCPE examinations will mark the end of the 8-4-4 system in primary schools.
However, 1.4 Million candidates will seat for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment.(KPSEA) as under million candidates to have their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
The Kenya National Examinations Council has announced that examination rehearsals for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education 2023 will commence on Thursday, October 19. The examinations board went ahead and announced that the rehearsals for KCPE and KPSEA will be on Friday, October 27.
Teachers are on their final rushes to make sure learners have grasped their best and set to have their exams done well. KNEC is anticipated to employ 1, 700 exam officers who will oversee the exams. The KCPE and KPSEA examinations are targeted tp begin on Monday, October 30 and end on Wednesday, November 1.
During a briefing for the monitoring oficcers that was held at the Mtihani House, KNEC headquarters on Monday, Principal Secretary for Education ,Belio Kipsang urged the officers to be committed to ensure proper efficient and effective administration of the assessments and examinations.
