The two pastors have been arrested by the Directorate Of Criminal Investigation over their conduct and prior to death cases of their followers. The Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) said the two TV stations have been suspended over Inappropriate content they air.
The Agency’s Director General Ezra Chiloba disclosed the content the two pastors air out as flouted and not as per their license.
“The Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) has suspended with immediate effect any further broadcasting by the World Evangelism Tv(New Life Communications Limited) and Times TV(Good News Media Kenya Ltd)
Following an extensive review aired by the two stations between January-April 2023, the Authority established that the two TV stations violated broadcasting standards’ requirements and lisence conditions. World Evangelism Tv was found to have aired inappropriate content on exorcism during the watershed period as well as 12 other violations. Similarly, Times TV aired inappropriate content on exorcism and flouted 17 other broadcasting lisence conditions, ” said the Agency.
Pastor Odero and Mackenzie are currently behind investigations by DCI following their conducts.
